1553-Ribbon-Triax Description

1553-Ribbon-Triax is used to adapt ribbon cable to Triax. IP-1553 supports 2 dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 interfaces. Most IP carriers have 50 pin ribbon cable headers for IO. 1553-Ribbon-Triax connects to ribbon cable and converts to Triax. The pin out from IP-1553 determined the cable connections to utilize. J0A/J0B form port 0. J1A/J1B form port 1

Also visible in the front side photo are H1 and H2. Neither are normally installed.
H1 is used to connect to IP-1553 JTAG port. Add -JTAG for this option.
H2 has the following signals [(1-5)EXT TAG CLOCK, XTRIG0, XTRIG1, INCMD0, INCMD1] Add -CNTL for this option.

The remote terminal address can be set in SW or the external RT addresses used for this purpose. The resistor positions when installed tie the associated bit to ground. RTAD00..RTAD04, RTAD0P = R1-R6 and RTAD10..RTAD14, RTAD1P = R7-R12

1553-Ribbon-Triax can be mounted to your system with the included mounting points. See 4 plated holes in the photo above. DIN rail mounting is also available. Add -DIN for this option
