IndustryPack Modules have many advantages. When you consider the small size and inherant rugged design against other formats, IP Modules can be the right choice. IP´s are ideal for small size functions and the need to supply multiple functions in a small space. IP Modules are small enough to allow 2 to fit where 1 PMC would go and yet large enough to support an FPGA and IO. Frequenty IP Modules are less expensive than PMC Modules. Carriers for IP Modules are available in most bus formats; PCI, cPCI, PC104p, PCI-104, VME and others. Consider IP´s for your next project.

Software Drivers - Carrier
The Dynamic Engineering system of Carrier and Module drivers is based on a parent and child relationship. The structure allows the IP drivers to be completely portable between any of the Dynamic Engineering IP Module carriers. You can develop on a PCI3IP in a PC, and then port your application software untouched to a cPCI or PC104p based system. The architecture requires unique drivers for the carriers that are independent of the IP modules. The Carrier drivers include a generic capability to allow our clients to use any IP - even one without a driver with our carriers. Mix and match our´s with third party cards. The driver manuals for the carriers are on the carrier Dynamic Data Pages linked to from the following jump table. The PCI3IP has a subpage with detailed information of the carrier IP driver relationship.
Please refer to the IP Carrier Dynamic Data Sheet for more information on each carrier and driver available. For example the PCI5IP page has information on the Linux and Windows and other drivers available for that carrier.
Software Drivers - IndustryPack®
Dynamic Engineering IndustryPack® cards have drivers. Each DDS for the individual IP has information about what drivers are available for each of the versions of the card.
Dynamic Engineering is currently expanding our board drivers for XP/2000, and Linux.
